Up and early.....bedding in the laundry and onto the clothesline before another great b'fast at Triple D's.
Darlene drove us to the light rapid transit train station and there we caught the train for 44th and Washington where the airport shuttle would pick us up.
Almost missed our train as we asked a fellow seated waiting for what looked like it would be the westbound train only to discover that no matter what line the train was running on it would be running in a westerly direction from this stop as this was the end of the line. Once in the train, we found out why he had misdirected us....he had just gotten out of prison after 7 1/2 yrs in the big house and this was his first time riding the line!!! He seemed hungry to talk so we heard all about the changes he's noticed since his release to the 1/2 way house he'll call home for the next 90 days. He said that after 7 1/2 years...he can do another 90 days standing on his head....he says too that no matter how much they try to "push his buttons" in the 1/2 way house....he's staying on the straight and narrow - thanks to finding God while in the big house.
A short ride later we were at our stop and boarding the shuttle to drive the 5 minutes to Terminal 4 where we'd find the Aeromexico counter.
All Terminals at Sky Harbour (Phoenix airport) have free wi fi so here we sit having an excellent margarita (gotta get into the spirit after all) while we await our boarding call. And.....I think it's important to note that we both just got asked for ID when we ordered our drinks!!! Yesterday Darlene got us all a seniors discount and today we were asked for ID.....I like Mesa!!
As we say good bye to Mesa....we'd like to comment on how friendly the people have been...how helpful they are.....and how enjoyable our time here has been.
Till next time,
L & L
